IMPROVEMENT IS SUGGESTED AFTER 5 MONTHS OF WORKING WITH HER PROGRESSIVE DOCTOR AND UTILIZING PREVENTATIVE THERAPIES.

Our Reports are very comprehensive for both patient and doctor.  See page 3 for summary and page 4 for comparative.  We provide a comparative page of your previous Thermogram and your current one so you can see the temperatures of the area(s) of interest.  Again, we want to empower you with all the information available. See Images and Report Samples Below.

Before your breast exam:
· You cannot be sunburned or have a fever at the time of your exam.
· Avoid prolonged sun exposure for five days prior to the exam.
· You should avoid chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage therapy, analgesic creams or balm,
magnets or poultice for 24 hours prior to your examination.

Discuss with your physician BEFORE discontinuing any of the above.

· Please inform us if you have had radiation treatment within the last 6  months.

During your Breast Thermogram:
· You will be placed in a private room for 15 minutes so your body can acclimate to room temperature.
This creates a "Thermal Steady State".
· You will disrobe from the waist up during this time.
· You will sit on a swiveling stool in front of the infrared camera.
· Once acclimated, you will be asked to place your hands behind your head as the images are taken.
· There is no compression, physical contact or physical exam.
· The Thermographer will be viewing live thermal images on a computer screen.
· Thermal breast images are captured from the front, both sides,  bottom and at 45° angles to insure
all the breast surfaces are scanned.

Results and interpretation from the Thermologist takes about a week.  Rush services available if needed. Your Thermogram will be sent to you and/or to your doctor via mail or email (your preference).

Breast Thermography Thermobiological Risk Rating System

TH1  Cancer Risk: Lowest
TH2  Cancer Risk: Low
TH3  Cancer Risk: Medium
TH4 Cancer Risk: High
TH5  Cancer Risk: Highest

TH2 THERMOGRAM EXAMPLE BELOW
As you can see, her thermovascular patterns are similar in both
breasts, and analyzed contra-lateral temperatures confirm low risk.
She now has the opportunity to monitor for pattern and temperature changes over her lifetime.  This patient has utililized Breast Thermography for over 15 years, and her thermal findings have remained stable.

TH5 THERMOGRAM EXAMPLE BELOW
Her mammogram failed to detect Cancer, anyone can see her Thermogram clearly suggests a serious "fever" in her Left breast. She was diagnosed after an MRI. It is unfortunate that she had not heard of Breast Thermography many years ago.

We provide our clients with the color palette as well as the inverted grayscale of each image. The grayscale is easier for the human eye to detect vascular patterns. We feel it is important to provide our clients and their health care professionals with both.

An abnormal thermal finding is not a guarantee that cancer is present, nor is a low risk thermal image a guarantee that cancer is not present.  Thermal imaging is an adjunctive screening and does not replace other tests.  It is not independently diagnostic of pathology.  Thermography is a topographical infrared mapping technology which does not see inside the body.  When Thermography is abnormal furhter evaluation is necessary to validate and localize disease.

Breast Thermography is intended to monitor breast health over time.  Each woman has distinct thermal patterns, like a “thermal fingerprint”, which should not change substantially from year to year.  Baseline studies for comparison are therefore important. Follow-up Thermograms may then identify changes that could represent physiological differences that warrant additional investigation.

Thermography findings are reported on a scale from 1 to 5 as follows:
Note: Abnormal signs may be indicated on a patient’s initial Thermogram that could be determined as stable, once recommended serial thermal imaging is established to create a baseline and/or due to known non-cancerous causes (e.g. abcess or recent benign surgery).

TH1: Lowest Risk and TH2: Low Risk – These ratings suggest the lowest risk of current or future breast cancer.  These ratings do not guarantee that the breasts are cancer free, and should not delay any other breast examination recommended by your doctor. The increase in risk between TH1 and TH2 is minimal.

TH3: Medium Risk – This rating suggests signs of physiological stress and inflammation, meaning that a patient has a mid-level risk that breast cancer is currently present or may develop in the future.  Additional imaging such as MRI, mammography, ultrasound or other diagnostic tests should be performed if these have not been done.

TH4: High Risk – This rating suggests substantial signs of physiological stress and inflammation, meaning that the patient has a high risk that breast cancer may be present or may develop in the future.  This rating is not a guarantee that cancer is present, and needs to be evaluated by other imaging to determine its significance.  Additional imaging such as MRI, magnification mammography, ultrasound or other diagnostic tests should be performed.

TH5: Highest Risk – This rating indicates a high risk that breast cancer is present or will develop.  This rating is not a guarantee that cancer is present, and must be evaluated by additional imaging to determine its significance.
